Involve
What is it?
‘Involve’ is about building momentum. Teachers and administrators must identify and provide opportunities for diverse voices and lived experiences, to collaborate and co-construct the criteria for dynamic school environments.
‘Involve’ is about taking risks. Authenticity, empowerment, respect, and trust are necessary ingredients for the hard conversations that may take place with students, parents, educators, and community leaders. Engaging all stakeholders in authentic dialogue will facilitate the growth needed to cultivate an inclusive, equitable environment and foster the 21st Century Competencies students will need in an ever changing world.
‘Involve’ is ultimately about our students’ voice. It is about changing the mindset that governs how students participate in their school. It is about engaging all stakeholders in the act of recognizing needs to be addressed and shaping school climates to meet those needs. This step is about deepening connections to support and build informative assessment and inclusive curriculum.
